Energy policy, nukes, UAE, and incompetence

The Bush Administration, and now the Obama Administration have recognized the need of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to become independent from the need to import natural gas from outside sources. So, the Obama Administration has approved to transfer nuclear technology to the UAE.

This friends, is appalling.

First, yeap, I agree that if they do not get the technology from us, they would get it from France, or Germany, or Russia. But, why give others our nuclear secrets, even if they are not so secret? As usual, they will eventually be used against us.

Second, we are giving the nuclear secrets because the UAE recognized that importing energy producing natural gas is not only a drain of their money, but a source of potential blackmail. Natural resources needed to fulfill crucial needs of a Nation are their weakest link, anybody with the proper mind frame and ability could potentially bring such nation to their knees.

That is why the U.S. is in such precarious position, having to import oil from the Middle East, Canada, Venezuela, Mexico, etc.

What does the fact that the UAE are counting on nuclear power to drop their dependence on foreign natural resources by producing electricity from nuclear power teaches us?

Two things:

1.       Nuclear power is a viable source of power.

2.       It is smart to become energy independent.

So, how could we apply these lessons?

1.       Imitate France and produce around 70% of our electricity from nuclear power.

2.       Let’s drill our own oil out of the Continental shell and Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Unfortunately, our politicians are more interested on catering to extreme private interest groups, rather than help us become energy independent.

You do not become energy independent by reducing the amount of energy you consume, but by producing the majority of the energy you consume. Right now, if we did just that, we would have a multibillion dollar surplus every month, since we would not have to send the money to our oil suppliers. At the same time, by producing our energy, we produce more jobs, a new industrial area would emerge, producing countless jobs, thus stimulating our economy.

But, what do I know? Politicians are the real experts. Or, are they?

No, not really.

Our elected officials, for the most part, use their time and the job that we trusted them with (scary thought) undermining the Constitution, or, like John Murtha, trying to help their families make multimillions of dollars by renting empty space to the Department of Defense, or like Barney Frank, getting a job for his boyfriend at either Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac (I don’t remember which).

Or, like Nancy Pelosi, getting briefed and not paying attention to the briefings.

What do you say? How about making a push to vote those bums out?

Hamas coming to stay

NOTICE: Part II

DOCUMENT SUMMARY:

Presidential Determination No. 2009-15 of January 27, 2009

Unexpected Urgent Refugee and Migration Needs Related To Gaza
Memorandum for the Secretary of State
By the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 2(c)(1) of the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962 (the ``Act''), as amended (22 U.S.C. 2601), I hereby determine, pursuant to section 2(c)(1) of the Act, that it is important to the national interest to furnish assistance under the Act in an amount not to exceed $20.3 million from the United States Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for the purpose of meeting unexpected and urgent refugee and migration needs, including by contributions to international, governmental, and nongovernmental organizations and payment of administrative expenses of Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the Department of State, related to humanitarian needs of Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza.
You are authorized and directed to publish this memorandum in the Federal Register.

(Presidential Sig.)
THE WHITE HOUSE,
Washington, January 27, 2009

What does this means? Simple. Under the disguise of humanitarian assistance, our President has allocated $20.3 million to relocate Gaza refugees, which for the most part, are Hamas supporters. Hamas, if you remember correctly, has the thought that Israel should be eradicated from the face of the earth, and the United States is the great Satan. They also believe that non Muslims either convert, or else, they forfeit their right to be alive.

The United States Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund, allows for those refugees approved, to be relocated to the United States.

Let’s see, the people who perform security clearance investigation for the military are so backed up that it takes them sometimes more than a year to catch up. How is the State Department going to be able to investigate the new wave of refugees, so they can be granted asylum? My guess is that it will be completed the same way that government do things… with ineptitude, and lack of accountability.

Bipartisan warning to Obama on Israel

78 out of 100 Senators, spearheaded by Christopher Dodd and recently converted Democrat Senator Arlen Specter, along with Republicans Thune and Isakson (son of Isaac) wrote what could be considered an open letter to President Obama, reminding him of the long history of friendship and loyalty among the Nations of Israel and the United States.

In the letter, the Senators emphasize that as mediators in the conflict between Israel and Palestine, the United States needs to remember to press Palestine to completely eradicate terrorism, and while mediating and attempting to get a Palestinian State, to at the same time think and ensure Israel’s safety.

I think it is important to remember how our President has been seen attending dinners along with his wife in which the key note speaker insisted in bashing Israel. We should also remember that some of his friends are well known anti Israel, just as much as anti American. It is good to see both sides of the aisle cooperating at least in theory in reminding our President that Israel is our only real allied in the region.

Patriotism, Congress, failures

“And over here to my right, your left, we have the XX Office, they ensure that xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (the “x”s represent the title of my office, and what we do, and are being used here to protect our identity. These were the words of a young female Soldier straining her voice while acting as a tour guide for a delegation of local Sheiks, businessmen and local politicians. I can now understand how the animals at a Zoo feel. Well, I guess that we are trying to show the delegation that we are still trying to help them, and not really trying to figure out how to get the heck out of the land of Hammurabi and into the land of the Poppy seeds as promised by our President.

I cannot fault the locals here for wanting to know what in the world we are really doing since the door kicking trying to find terrorists was left to the Iraqi Army. They are having a modicum amount of success in their venture. But that modicum amount of success could be compared to President Obama’s budget cuts… uuummmm, sorry, no… the Obama administration just faked making cuts in other areas other than defense.

Let’s see, it could be compared to Barney Franks success in protecting the housing and banking industry…. Uuuuummmmmmmmmmm no, I don’t think so either, he failed miserably there too.

OOOOOOHHHHH yeah, Murtha’s family member succeeding to operate a useless storage facility funded by Defense Contracts for no apparent service rendered? Yeah, he was actually successful.

Or, how about Vice President Gore’s brilliant defense of Global Warming against all of those scientists who testify against man made global warming? Nope, wait, the only one the Democrats allowed to present the counter point wasn’t a scientist, but Newt Gingrich, who, even though is a bright and articulated political figure, IS NOT A SCIENTIST.

My point is that I have watch the Iraqi Army go from a rag tag bunch of cowards who run at the sound of a truck back firing to a semi coherent bunch of folks trying to defend their Nation. That is more than I can say of famous groups like Moveon.org, Self confessed terrorist William Ayres and wife, the California Congresswoman who could not see the light that she was shining on the performance of her job when she said that some Cuban Citizens live better than some of her constituents.

Some Iraqis could teach some of our Congress people a thing or two about courage and patriotism.

Obama's intent on reducing the private sector

In a thought that could have come out of the leaders of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) of old, President Obama said: “…We don't want every single college grad with mathematical aptitude to become a derivatives trader. We want some of them to go into engineering, and we want some of them to be going into computer design." That thought might be true, but it is a scary thought never the less.

The reason that line scares me, is not because we do not need experts in all areas of knowledge, it is because if your son wants to be a derivatives trader, he should be just that, provided he meets the requirements. It is not up to the government to tell you what you should or should not be.

I initially open my word processor with the idea to tackle a headline on the Drudge Report where Obama says that the financial sector is to shrink.

In his words: “The financial sector will make up a smaller part of the U.S. economy in the future as new regulations clamp down on "massive risk-taking,"

To the nearsighted, it seems that businesses have gone awry and lose control of their operations. The President blames businesses for all the risk-taking, and the loses that followed. The Unions speak about greed, and the uninitiated in economic matters blames whomever.

Everybody wants to point fingers, and nobody seems to be willing to accept their part on our Nation’s economical debacle.

Well, what can I say?

There are a lot of people in our Nation that had become very successful, and with success comes money. Think about the oil company executives, who share in record earnings. Consider also the fact that for the most part, oil company earnings fuel more than cars, they also fuel the pension plans of millions of American retirees.

Consider MSNBC’s parent company, General Electric. Their stock has gone down. However, Forbes.com lists GE CEO’s, Jeffrey Immelt, last five years compensation as $53 million dollars (http://www.forbes.com/static/pvp2005/LIR67G5.html). Also remember that GE still sells supplies to Iran. The same Iran that is directly responsible for the death of some of our American Soldiers.

Remember Franklin Raines? President Clinton’s budget director, one of President Obama’s economic advisors during his campaign, and former Fannie Mae Chief, was compensated more than $ 90.12 million over a six year period; even though he had overestimated Fannie’s solvency by the tune of$10.6 Billions (http://article.nationalreview.com/print/?q=NDA4YTY1N2ZhMDhmNjIwNTk4OTI2MDYxZWU4NDg1Y2Q=) in order to continue paying their overinflated salaries and perks.

So yes, there has being and still is plenty of greed to go around in the world of economics. But, the problem is not so much that our economic system is unregulated, but that is regulated too much.

Wait, how in the world can I say something like that? Especially when I have provided tangible evidence of greed and corruption in economic industries; that would not make sense…

Well, we have plenty of rules in the books to deal with corruption. Once it is found, the rules are to be applied. But we do not need the government to stick their noses in the private sector. That is not their jobs, and when you put incompetent individuals to investigate, and regulate, you end up with even more nonsense. Think about it. Congress cannot keep their own cafeteria running without tax dollars subsidies; they cannot manage the Social Security Administration, they made a mess out of the Veterans Administration… These incompetent politicians have no idea, no knowledge about how the economy works, and still do not even have the common sense to keep their mouth shut.

When the President accuses Wall Street of risky behavior, according to the context, he is thinking of the mortgage industry. The mortgage industry was doing fine until Congress and a few activist organizations (ACORN?) forced the bankers’ hands to lower their credit standards, thus converting perfectly safe loans into an economic trap. Because now bankers were forced to lend money to people that under normal circumstances would be unable to pay such loans back, the whole house cards came tumbling down. And when some conscious politicians attempted to bring the problem into the open, they were mocked, ridiculed, and accused of hating the poor. Maxine Waters, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, tried their darnest to shift the blame to the Regulator, and later on, just brushed off their part in the whole sordid mess.

Nonsense? Check out the video at http://www.conservative–ideals.com under Weasels club. When Former President Clinton states that the Democrats got on his way and in the Republicans way of reforming the Housing Industry…

So, right now Obama wants to shrink the economic sector and grow the government, does that make any sense?

Government only produces bureaucratic incompetence. For the most part of the 20th Century, the economic sector gave us a standard of living where the poorest among us lives like a king or queen when compared to other Nations.

It is outrageous to believe that the government needs to shrink our Economic sector. If anything, government needs to shrink itself and get out of our way.

Tea Party, arrogant President; ENOUGH

At a moment when our liberties are being taken away, our money is squandered, and the people that we selected to represent us in Congress and Senate are representing everything but the American constituents, and on a day nationally hated since it represents the taking of our hard earned money by individuals that forget who their real bosses are, hundreds of thousands of American gathered all across the Nation as a majority that is tired of being taken for granted, that is tired of just mind our own business, and that is sick of being put down by our President and politicians.

We have been called arrogant, ignorant, uneducated, and smelly by those that we have voted into office. I know; most of us did not vote for Murtha, Reed, Pelosi, Obama, Frank, and the rest of the political elite that stomps and trample the American Constitution. We have been talked down, and when a humble individual extracts a confession from Barack Obama, that humble individual is investigated, his privacy is invaded in violation of the Constitution “…The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated…” 4th Amendment.

When a politician dares to speak against her own Party and against corruption, she is held to public scrutiny and harassment, her children are brought into the fray, and reputation is dragged through the mud.

When grass roots movements sprout all over the United States, we have freedom of assembly, don’t we? “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” 1st Amendment. Homeland Security under Janet Napolitano issues a warning to law enforcement to watch out for reactionary citizens that might be waving the yellow flag “Don’t tread on me.” And those who advocate the right of an unborn child to exist. Or the right of the individual to bear arms as guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution.

Here in Colorado Springs, hundreds of patriots gathered in Acacia Park to voice our opinions and send a message to Washington. Yes, as clearly expressed by Douglas Bruce, we are not going to change Washington by just assembling once in a park with colorful signs. But there is strength in numbers. We are not naïve enough to belief that the arrogant leaders of the Senate and Congress and the equally arrogant President will listen to our complaints and change their attitudes or modus operandi, but we want to tell our non representing representatives that we are tired, angry, frustrated, and looking forward to the next elections.

Tomorrow, I fly back to Iraq, but today, I joined my voice to a grass roots movement across the Nation.

Listen up, and listen carefully Washington:

1. We do not appreciate politicians that do not listen to their constituency.

2. Raising our taxes makes no sense. Yes, I know, you all promised not to raise money to those making under $250k. Guess what? You just raised taxes on tobacco products, which means, that the vast majority of smokers (they make under $250k) just saw their taxes going up.

3. I do not need the President to apologize for me. I was born in Puerto Rico, I served 22 years in the Army, I help liberate Kuwait, I supported our Army during the cold war (I was stationed in Europe and did my share of guarding the Fulda Gap), and my uncle died in Belgium in 1944 fighting the Nazis. My other uncle also fought in World War II. I do not need to apologize for the world for risking my life to protect peace.

4. We do not appreciate Murtha condemning our Marines denying them the right of being innocent until proven guilty.

5. We have no use for a Commander in Chief that accuses our military of “Air raiding villages and killing civilians…”

6. We are a Christian Nation, get over it. “In God We trust.” “…One Nation, under God…”

7. We have no use for senators, congress people, and a president (I know, I am using lower case) that, swearing to defend that Constitution, conspire to violate it. Maybe they should read the 14th Amendment: “3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”

Let’s vote these useless politicians out of office in 2010 and 2012.

Easter Message from Thinking American

“No one shows greater love than when he lays down his life for his friends.” John 15:13 (ISV)

It is the end of the holiest of the weeks for the Judeo and Christian faith. Decades ago in Puerto Rico, we paid a lot more attention to Good Friday, than we did to Easter. I haven’t been on the Island for Holy Week, since I live in the States, namely for 22 years, but I still remember our old traditions. Do not eat meat during the week, especially on Friday. Do not work on Friday, specially, do not use a hammer. All week, we use to have Christian themed movies on TV. For the most part, our old generation was proud of our Christian heritage, and we preceded every statement of intent with the phrase: “Si Dios quiere…” or… “God willing…” I remember having a hard time in Army Basic Training, since my Drill Sergeants wanted me to emphatically state what I was going to do, and did not really understand when I said that I would do it, but only if God wills it.

But, I digress… I started this article with one of my favorite verses in the Bible, because it emphasizes the true meaning of love, of bravery, of selflessness; and how, by giving His life, Jesus secured eternal life for us, God’s creations, that have strayed so far and for so long from His will and our intended destiny.

The historical occurrences of this week, reminded me again of Jesus sacrifice.

When the darkness in man’s hearts show the ugliest of humanity and a rag tag of wanna be pirates, criminals, or terrorists (pick your term) wanted to make money on the misery of others, a brave man following his conscience or maybe the example of He who gave his live for us, offered to trade himself, so his men would be spared.

Captain Richard Phillips was rescued from his captors today, Easter Sunday. It was probably the best Easter gift that his family could have received.

Many will hail the heroic rescue by our Military, and that is fine; my brothers and sisters in arms do great work and they do deserve the respect of a grateful Nation.

But, Captain Phillips truly exemplifies the understanding of the responsibilities of command. When you are in charge, the welfare of your troops comes before yours, every time. And I can tell you, since I have spent over 22 years in the military, that many forget this basic fact. His men were the first ones to break the story of how he, willingly, traded his freedom and possibly his life for that of his men.

Jesus traded His freedom and his life for us, not so much to make us happy, or religious, or whatever the world wants to believe, but so we could have a second chance. So we could, if we so desire, really understand the meaning of love, of self sacrifice, and so we would have a shining example of what we could become, if only we put aside our wants, and pride, our fears, and refuse to be ashamed of being called Christians.

The President said that we are not a Christian Nation. That is his opinion, and many of us really believe that… well, let’s just say that our opinion of him as a human being has been diminishing as the days go by…

I see in my life, how at times the weakness of the flesh brings me down, and how fears and weakness remind me how human I really am. But it is these days of remembrance, Good Friday, Easter, Christmas that help me stop, and look up. Look up, not to the stars, or the planes in the sky, but farther, farther to a time and a place long gone, to the week where Jesus rode the little donkey to enter the city of Jerusalem. The week when a weak but proud Peter denied that he even knew Jesus. The week in which Jesus, having an alternative, yes, He could have said that He was not going to go through with his destiny; elected of His own Free Will to give His life for us.

It is these Christians celebrations that remind me of the great Sacrifice of our Lord. And is those scarce examples of human bravery that show us that we can aspire to follow Jesus example, that we can put our lives in His hands, and become an instrument of His love.

While the secular world celebrate a day of colored eggs, and bunnies in weird costumes, let us remember that our Lord traded His life for ours, and defeated death, so we could understand that by following Him, our hopeless life suddenly

Muslim beheads wife in NY, he wanted to dispel Islam stereotypes

In what can be considered as shooting himself in the foot... the founder of an Islamic Television Station in New York, confessed to beheading his wife.

Muzzammil Hassan founded the television station after the September 11 attacks in order to counter the usual stereotypes against the Muslim faith and it's practitioners.

She filed for divorce and the Police had being called several times to their home on allegations of domestic violence.

I do not want to use a tragedy for gain, but the question here is: If you are trying to clear stereotypes, why behave in a manner that only serves to preserve those ideas you are trying to counter?

The main stereotypes that come to mind when the Muslim faith is regarded are:

  1. Women do not have equal rights and their lives are constantly in danger of overzealous males that think nothing of chopping hands, feet, or even beheading them for trivial and senseless transgressions.

  2. The Muslim faith teaches that is OK to lie to none Muslims, thus rendering almost anything they tell you irrelevant.

  3. The fundamentalist Muslims believe that if you do not convert to their faith, you do not have the right to exist, so, you should be killed.

  4. Israel should not exist since they are less than monkeys and rats, and as so, they should be exterminated.

  5. Killing those who don't belief in Islam is honorable.

So far, I tend to see that a small minority of practitioners of Islam hold these skewed beliefs. But, when Islam boasts of having millions of practitioners, even a tiny fraction of those, is dangerous.

Hollywood Common Sense?

I do not usually like to copy entire articles and post them in any of my blogs, since I respect the right of authors to retain their intellectual property… however; I have to make an exception with this one since it is a great read, and something that amazingly enough came from an actor… yeap, an actor.

The interview was posted in the UK express.co.uk sp kudos to them for not stifling freedom of speech.

Up to a few weeks ago, I had no clue who Mickey Rourke was, even when I have always been a fan of wrestling since back in the days of when Rick Flair was young, that is an awful long time… but I digress, it seems that this kid found “new” fame with his movie “The Wrestler” and now is the rage… But, what woke a sense of respect for him, is common sense view of the September 11, 2001 attacks, his passion, and his realization that unless Britain does something about the Islamic terrorists and activists who are allowed to spew their nonsensical barrage of hate and stupidity and practice their distorted version of their religion, we all are in deep kimshee(sorry, my Hangul was never good).

Wow, the last paragraph sounds like a contradiction of the second, I praise freedom of speech while at the same time seem to advocate denying psychopathic murderers from theirs, hmmm… oh well, life is not perfect, get over it… Plus, quoting my childhood hero, “with great power comes great responsibility” (Ben Parker, Peter Parker’s uncle in Spider Man) and one of the greatest powers that anyone can have is “Freedom of Speech”, but that means that it is to be used in a judicious manner, thinking of the consequences of the message.

Rourke also comments on the Bush Presidency, and strangely enough, shows the common sense not to blame the maladies of the world in one man. That is profound coming from a guy Hollywood idolizes.

Here is to a man with common sense, and to freedom.

ROURKE: 'BUSH WAS IN THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME'

Monday January 12,2009

Actor MICKEY ROURKE sympathizes with U.S. President GEORGE W. BUSH - insisting he doesn't know how any politician could have successfully navigated America after the 9/11 attacks on New York.

The Hollywood tough-guy spoke out about his political views in a candid interview with Britain's GQ magazine, and admits he doesn't understand why so many people blame Bush for a string of world issues - including Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism in the West.

And the actor, who claims he didn't follow last year's (08) historic U.S. election battle between Barack Obama and John McCain, urges the public to consider the tremendous pressure the controversial president was under following the terror attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001.

He tells the publication, "President Bush was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I don't know how anyone could have handled this situation.

"I don't give a f**k who's in office, Bush or whoever, there is no simple solution to this problem... I'm not one of those who blames Bush for everything. This s**t between Christians and Muslims goes back to the Crusades, doesn't it.

"It's too easy to blame everything on one guy. These are unpredictable, dangerous times, and I don't think that anyone really knows quite what to do."

Rourke also confesses he was so angry after 9/11, he wanted to fight the war on terror himself.

He adds, "I'm not politically educated. But I do know that after 9/11 I wanted to go over there, you know what I'm saying?"

And the star is baffled by the U.K.'s approach to fundamentalists - insisting he was taken aback by the freedom of speech allowed in the U.K.

He explains, "I was in London recently and I couldn't believe all these hate-talking fanatics you have over here who are allowed to carry on doing their thing even when a bus full of women and children gets blown to pieces.

"I know you've deported one or two of them, but it seems crazy. I think there is worse to come, something terrible will happen to either America or the U.K., or France even. I don't think these fundamentalists should be allowed to talk all this crap, and brainwashing these young kids."

A man of honor

When you face life and death on a fairly regular basis, you learn that there are not that many things that you would risk your life for. You develop a set of principles, and you live by them. No, I am not talking about religious or moral issues; I’m talking more about a set of specific ideas, principles, and techniques that you apply to everything in life. You double check what you do, you make sure that all your equipment functions, you take apart mechanical items and ensure that there are no frayed cables, and seals are serviceable, you pack extra batteries, and usually, two alarm clock, two of almost everything. Murphy, of the famous Murphy’s Law, is your pain in the lower portion of the back acquaintance. He enjoys showing up at the unexpected times. And, like the superstitious baseball player who wears his lucky socks to bat, you would not dare going anywhere without your pre combat checks and pre combat inspections. That is ingrained in you.

Moral principles are slightly different. Why you do what you do? What is the real reason you are in the military, or are a police officer… Those who answer that question by saying something about duty, will more than likely risk their life without hesitation in order to safe another. Those who say that is a job will almost always hesitate… That is the difference of conviction.

Conviction on your principles define your character, and make you either someone you can trust, or just another shmoe with no direction in life.

This long rambling came to mind after reading the last interview of Presidents Bush 41st and 43rd.

Critics, especially academia are fond of criticizing our 43rd President. They blame him for everything, from global warming, to the polar bears being endangered (even though their population doubled in the past few years), to the sun not being as active as before. They are quick to forget the circumstances of his presidency, from hurricanes that would cripple any country’s economy, to terrorist attacks, to a war in more than two fronts (Iraq, Afghanistan, and wherever there are terrorists), to the final housing bubble pop (and again, conveniently, the media and politicians ignore that Republican Senators warning of the need for reform and accountability in Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae; and how Barnie Frank, Maxine Waters, Chris Dodd, and others blew the warnings off).

But what impressed me the most was President Bush statement: “I didn't compromise that principle for the sake of trying to, you know, bail out my political party."

He was referring to when his party came to him and told him that it would be best to retreat from Iraq, since the war was causing heartburn on the hearts of the populace, again, thanks to opportunistic politicians and the main stream media; thank you Murtha, Kerry, Reid, you are examples of what real patriots ARE NOT. Murtha, you still owe an apology to our Marines, Kerry, our military can read well enough; Obama, we are not air raiding villages that do not have Taliban or terrorist embedded with them, nor are we killing civilians on purpose. And, in case you had not noticed yet, we are winning the war in Iraq.

President Bush 43d made many mistakes, I am still mad about him not pardoning Ignacio Ramos and his partner Compean. I am still baffled by the nationalization of Banks and insistence of passing the bail out immediately, it hasn’t worked, and it will not work. But, when we needed a strong President to stand against terrorism, we got it.

For this, Thank you President Bush.

Open letter to Exxon Mobil CEO, Mr. Tillerson

I am no oil man, but I am a thinker...

“Snow blast set for Gotham; up to 9 inches”, Heavy Snow, Detroit to New York, More coming to Chicago…”, “Coldest Weather Possible in Nearly 15 years”… these are just three of the headlines this morning on my side of the world.

Next in line are a few news bits about how fat Americans are becoming; followed by a newspaper posed to be sold. The President want some more bail out money, that is a joke; who the heck is going to bail us out when we have to pay the Chinese back? We will have to go into indentured service… and I thought that slavery was gone from the United States. Yet, our stupid politicians are putting our Nation in an unprecedented situation where if our creditors ask for their money back, we would lose our shirts.

And, what makes me want to go back and break boards with my head, I am a Martial Artist by heart, is the following headline: “U-TURN; EXXONMOBIL calls for carbon tax to tackle global warming”.

I can lend these bozos my 357 magnum so they can finally kill the oil industry in the United States. Rex, I am talking to you… yes, we need to maintain pollution control, yes we need to make sure that we protect our planet, yes we need to make sure that we are good stewards of the environment. But think about it… take your eyes of oil, and put them on a related product… AUTOMOBILES. Think Rex, you are AM EXECUTIVE BECAUSE SUPPOSEDLY YOU CAN THINK.

When Government stuck their noses on the Automobile industry, and started mandating pollution control, and requiring that manufacturers adhere to standards of technology that did not existed yet, and in addition, supported Union contracts and negotiated clauses that the Unions, forced the companies into signing. These added about $2000.00 extra per car, making the American car industry unable to compete with the foreign manufacturers, and setting them up for the ridiculous Congress mandated testimonies of their executives… the circus of them having to car pool, and beg for money.

Rex, my friend, our government cannot run their cafeteria without tax payer’s subsidies. They ruin everything they touch. Asking them to stick their noses and add a Carbon emissions tax is yet again asking for your parents to supervise you when you are making out with your girlfriend… WERE YOU BORNED STUPID, OR DID YOUSTUDIED VERY HARD TO BECOME THAT DENSE?

Rex, since you believe that a tax or carbon trading program is a good idea… I can double your money, yet, I can give you tenfold your money if you invest it on a little insider secret deal I have going… I will sell you the Everglades… Or, I have another sweet deal… I copied the idea from Maddof. Interested?

In all seriousness, Mr. Rex Tillerson,( http://www.canada.com/calgaryherald/news/calgarybusiness/story.html?id=e8aecbbb-16c6-412d-8054-7e64e2b176ef)  think… Government sponsored cap and trades and carbon exchange programs are nothing but Ponce schemes.

The Sun, is the main culprit of Global Warming, and Anthropogenic Global warming, is such a controversial issue, that no serious scientist would say that the controversy is settled, because is not. Al Gore is no scientist, and those who profess to know, for the most part, really know nothing about climatology.

So, we have an old saying in Puerto Rico: “En boca cerrada no entran moscas.” Translated, for those who do not know how to use a dictionary, it means that if you keep your mouth shut, you will have less chances of having a fly down your throat. And, explained, since regional phrases seldom make any sense to those not from that region: If you open your mouth, the consequences of your foolish comments, will be more than you can predict, government will encroach in your turf, and the harm will be permanent. So, in a polite and politically correct manner, I humbly ask you to think what you are saying a bit more, do better research, and back your words with compelling evidence. Otherwise, keep your opinions off the media.

Global warming is at best a nonsensical idea predicated on faulty data, and exacerbated by alarmist pseudo science.

Global warming produces snow rage

And, here is the global warming bit of the day…

Global warming caused a frustrated citizen to shoot at a snow plow operator in Spokane, Washington (http://apnews.myway.com/article/20090107/D95I8DF00.html) where more than 6’ of snow have fallen creating a bloody mess. Ice, snow, sludge, roofs collapsing, you name it. And, all of this is the result of the infamous global warming that the prophet (Al Gore) in his infinite wisdom, with lousy power point presentations, and faulty scientific data brought to our attention, earning him an Emmy, a Nobel Prize, and who knows or who cares what else.

The bottom line, we might be very well headed toward a global cooling. As I was growing up, Chicken Little was screaming that the new ice age was coming; now, we all are going to fry, tomorrow, who knows.

Alarmists all over continue to push for global warming reforms in the hopes of averting a faux disaster. Even the Republican candidate for President of the United States was swindled by the alarmists.

It is time to continue sounding the alarm and prevent our politicians from ruining our economy even more by establishing harsher measures and regulations to our industries. Someone needs to stop our politicians from playing Ponce schemes with their constituency. Cap and trade policies are nothing more than a fancy name for a Ponce scheme, where the government charges those who want to be of use to society and produce jobs, and energy, a tax for their carbon emissions or pollution produced.

Bottom line: Cap and trade is a scam; global warming is a scam; our politicians (most of them) have less common sense than the camel I befriended a few days ago in one of my travels.

Don’t believe me? How do you explain the wackos trying to levy a tax on cows because they produce methane when they pass gas?

Two kinds of people

There are two kinds of people in this world; those who live in a world of fantasy, and those who live in a world of reality. Unfortunately, there are not that many who wake up every morning and decide to face life and confront it understanding that their future depends on the decisions that they make.

Unhhhh? Think about it. The main stream media have had a fest portraying Israel as a bunch of murderous thugs. They keep pointing at the many civilian casualties left behind by the rocket attacks launched by the Israeli Defense Forces, and every time there are some pictures or feed coming from that sector of the world, it is of children being taken to the hospital as victims of the bombings, or schools destroyed, or a bunch of self important reporters on a hill.

I have to give props to Anderson Cooper, whom has made it a point to indicate that Hamas stations their mortars, headquarters, and weapons cache among the people on purpose. Some other commentator tried to excuse Hamas by saying that there was no other place to put them on Gaza. Guess what… if you place rockets and base military operations in the middle of the civilian population, you are asking the enemy to kill your civilians. And, that is precisely the point.

Hamas and Hezbollah, and all other terrorist groups have amazing Public Relations people. They doctor the pictures, stage the same old lady on different destroyed buildings and send it over and over as an example of the damaged created by the Zionist and the American Armies. And, since it is a lot easier to live in a fantasy world, the press believes them, and the main media organizations work hard to give air time to these fabricated news pieces.

Now Ayman Al-Zawahiry is saying that Obama’s gift to Israel is his silence regarding Israel’s offensive on Hamas. I will not defend Obama, since I have no clue what is on his mind; I don’t think that anyone knows other than maybe his bride. He has send mixed messages; in the past, he has associated with pro Palestine organizations, while at the same time professing to be an Israel supporter. That is typical of his profession as a consummate politician.

But Al-Qaida, like almost most of society, lives in a world of fantasy. They want life Burger King Style: their way. They want Israel destroyed. They want their women submitted to their skewed vision of the Quran. They want all other individuals not belonging to their faith destroyed.

Franken believes that he won Michigan, again, another fallacy. ACORN thought that they could affect the elections, and they did. What the heck… They live and act according to their fantasies, and those fantasies affect everybody else’s life.

The loons are running the asylum. Now, the Democrats are in charge, and they will get away with most of their liberal agenda. We will see the results soon enough, and will be mostly unable to do anything about it. Like Rush said, elections have consequences.

I was talking to good friend yesterday, and he told me that people was tired of President Bush, and I added that even if the Democrats had written Donald Duck as a candidate, Mr. Duck would be the President elected today.

The reason is simple. People live in a fantasy world, they do not want to face reality and most will vote for the candidate who promised them Shangri-La; never mind who that candidate is, or how fantastic their claims are.

The Obama campaign taught us a few marketing lessons. We deserve to lose again if we do not adjust fire and fix ourselves.

While I do not advocate the violation of our principles, I do advocate the modernization of our tactics. We have a two front war: the culture war, and the battle for ideas. Unless we realize this and take proper action, we will fail.

I see some isolated efforts to bring the conservative movement to the 21st Century. Andrew Breitbart started a new website, “Big Hollywood”, check it out at: http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/. He is targeting popular culture his way. We need to make use of social media, DIGG.com, stumbleupon.com, etc. We need to hang together and support those independent efforts. Let’s get the word out there. Along with Rush, Glenn, Sean, Mark, and others, lets join our voices to the choir, and propel the Conservative movement to the forefront of the ideological battleground.

And let’s not forget those with their head full of mush like Rush describe. We need to target those, and bring some sense into their otherwise senseless existence.

To my friends, I say, let’s keep the faith and continue to move forward. We have two years to make a difference. 2010 is around the corner.
